The Description:

You look out through the dissipating fog over the steaming river as the gorgeous sleeping beauty is waking up, poking her snow capped face through the low lying clouds. 


At first glance there is a moment you feel like you've completely entered another world, where the mirror glass reflection off the river is indistinguishable from the mountains above. 


As you enter the township of Franklin, you will feel like you've been transported back in time with the many historic buildings and boats that have graced the river for the past 150 years or more.


The Off Season is undoubtably the best time to cruise the stunning Huon River. 


Relax in the fully enclosed cabin of the historic timber motor cruiser LaDrone, warming up with a delicious locally produced, mulled cider, just as the pioneers did 150 years ago. All that paired with a grazing board of local produce, this is an experience can only be available in the cooler months. 


Bookings are essential on our cruises as there are limited available spaces and as we are at a private dock, we can’t generally accept walk in passengers.

The Carpark is a short walk from the boat, however if you think it may be a challenge for you, please contact us and we will arrange a closer park for you. PLEASE DO NOT WALK THROUGH THE VINES DUE TO CURRENT BIOSECURITY THREATS TO VINEYARDS. STICK TO THE DRIVEWAY ONLY.
